This Journal of the British Society of Master Glass Painters concentrates of the Stained Glass of churches and cathedrals of the USA. Designs and designers feature from the 175 years since Stained Glass became prevalent after the founding of the country as a whole. Of particular interest to British glass enthusiasts is a very interesting and detailed account of James Hogan's business and projects in the USA for the Whitefriars Studio of James Powell & Sons. It covers his time from when he first went to the USA in 1926 to his last visit shortly before his death in 1948. James Powell & Sons had been supplying Stained Glass over the Atlantic from 1852 but James Hogan was arguably the foremost designer for them.

There are many other designers included such as Donald McDonald, John La Farge, J. Horace Rudy, William Willet, Charles Connick, George Sotter, Lawrence Saint, plus other articles, notes and business of the Society.

The Journal is in very good condition and contains 222 pages.
